How can Diabetes Care+ support clinical trials?
Our experienced dietitians and diabetes nurse educators are available to provide the education, monitoring, support and data collection to ensure standardisation of intervention delivery in line with trial protocol requirements. We provide supportive care and symptom management for side effects or comorbidities that may arise which can enhance participant safety and comfort, supporting trial integrity by minimising dropouts.
We maintain accurate and consistent documentation and regular contact with the investigating team or sponsor.
Our administration team can coordinate appointments, appointment reminders and follow-up assessments for appointments either in person at one of our consulting suites or via video telehealth.
Has Diabetes Care+ been involved in clinical trials?
The Diabetes Care and Health Professionals team has contributed to the lifestyle intervention arm of several clinical trials to date and remains actively involved in ongoing research efforts.
Through this experience, we have developed a strong understanding of the importance of strict adherence to trial protocols. Our team, including a dedicated Clinic Administration Officer, maintains regular communication with trial coordinators at participating centres to ensure protocol compliance and seamless coordination.
